I've been building websites professionally for years. In that time I've seen the same situation play out over and over: a local business owner pays a deposit to get started, waits weeks, and receives something they never really wanted. By then they've already paid and the leverage has shifted entirely to the designer.

That's not fair. A website is a significant investment for a small business. You should be able to see exactly what you're getting before any money changes hands.

So I flipped the model. I build your complete, working website first. You get a live link to click around, show your family, and make a proper decision. If you love it, you pay. If you don't, you walk away. No invoice, no awkward conversation, no hard feelings.

I call it Fair Play because that's exactly what it is.

I work exclusively with small businesses across Kent — tradespeople, salons, therapists, cafes, builders, electricians, and every other type of local service business. Not agencies. Not startups. Local businesses run by real people who need a professional online presence without the corporate price tag or the agency runaround.

Most of my clients have never had a website, or have one that hasn't been touched in years and is doing them more harm than good. My job is to fix that quickly, affordably, and without any of the usual web design frustration.
